Coronavirus making you nervous?? Check this out.


Never in the history of this world has God NOT been in control. 

 Nothing ever surprises Him.

 We can trust that He knows us and our needs.

 Nothing shocks Him.

 He teaches us every chance He gets.

 Maybe what we all need is a good dose of TRUST in Him.

 I love the hymn in the link above. 

 And this morning as I thought about what to share with you, this verse came into my mind. 

 Please take heart in this time of uncertainty, and REST IN HIM.

 What would it look like for you to live without fear today?

 Take precaution, but CREATE joy in your life today and trust IN GOD.

Black Lives Matter...my take on the movement.

Here is my take... Black lives matter! For sure. I love my black friends. They are wonderful people and they matter to me so much!! It is not in my nature to be part of a protest and so I have refrained from joining a group in the street, mostly because of the feeling of violence and hate that can be in those settings. The feeling of division and fight is not something that I am comfortable being around. So I share on my blog instead. You know what I know? I know that Jesus Christ loved and welcomed all people. He walked through Samaria. He blessed the Gentile woman who begged for His help. He dined with those who were haughty and humble. He saw each one as worthy of His love. I am trying to be like Jesus Christ. I know that I am a white woman living in a mostly white community. I know that I may have prejudices, and I'm trying to discover where I may need to change. If the world had a reset button, it could be named COVID-19. Modern living has become very efficient. We are blessed with so many conveniences. But then COVID-19 comes and removes all sports, vacations, schools, dining out, movies, shopping, work (for some), visiting friends and family, and even going to the dentist, what do we have left? We have our families and lots of time. Hasn't there been times when this is what you wanted? A chance at doing nothing for a while? In reality, we are not made for stagnation. We are made for progression. Here's a few interesting questions to ask yourself to help you not be stagnant during this time: With so much being taken away, what is one thing I've thought of doing someday that I could try now?
