3 Tips to Stop Wasting Time

Why do we waste time?

For most of us, we waste time because the alternatives don't look appealing at the moment.

We waste time when we should be studying, or working.

We waste time when we have a lot on our mind that seems overwhelming.

We waste time when we are anxious about all that we have to do.

Or we waste time because we are in the habit of wasting time.

Sometimes we don't want to think of something else that we could do instead.

But what is the effect of wasting our time?

Usually, we feel under-motivated and irritated at ourselves.

So how can you break the cycle of wasting time?

1. Be the master of your phone not the slave. Most of the time, if you're choosing to waste time, it's on your device or sleeping. So to these habits and appetites, be the master and not the slave. Decide an appropriate time to spend on your phone. Then track your time and learn to limit it.

2. Schedule time for things that need to be done and time for fun. When you schedule the fun in your day, you don't feel deprived of fun when it's time to work because you know that time will come.

3. Understand that when the time comes, YOU WILL NEVER WANT TO DO THE HARDER STUFF (homework, work, chores etc)...BUT DO IT ANYWAY! You will thank yourself and you'll be proud of yourself for honoring what you decided to do.

In today's world, there are so many distraction that you can indulge in.

I challenge you to be the director of your day.

If you got $1 for each minute in your day, and if you didn't use it up during that minute, it was gone. You'd find useful ways to use your dollars.

Each minute more precious than money because once it is gone it can not be brought back.
