Hallelujah...Spring Break is OVER!
Why do we look so forward to Spring Break just to look forward to the normal that school and regular days bring?? Interesting to think about...
Spring Break gives us a feeling of excitement for the adventure! It gives us a vacation away from normal. It sometimes means spending more time with family and friends that we don't see everyday. We may be traveling somewhere we think will be so much fun!
We enjoy it because of the feelings of anticipation and excitement all of this brings!
So the funny thing is, why do we also enjoy getting back to the normal everyday things??
Mostly because even though the break had some fun in it, there were also times where we were stressed just like we get on regular days. And although it is in a different place, we still can have the same feelings of frustration and disappointments.
In every situation, in every day, no matter what we are facing OUR brain and OUR habitual emotions come along too. Our brain memorizes emotions and uses them as default emotions. Then it thinks something to bring up same emotions no matter what we are doing.
This is how we get feeling stuck in the same emotions day after day.
Noticing the pattern is the first big step to kick the habit, but I would love to offer you more in-depth help. Check out my facebook page and book a mini-session with me. https://www.facebook.com/LornaOlsonCoaching/
