Why am I Sad?

Sometimes we are sad.

We dont like feeling sad and sometimes we think that something is wrong when we feel sad.

But sadness has a purpose and is an important part of our lives. It is true that without sadness, we would not be able to feel joy.

We are designed to feel positive emotions half the time and negative emotions the other half...its 50/50. And that's the way it is supposed to be.

So knowing nothing has gone wrong when we feel negative emotions helps us deal with our emotions in a healthy way.

Allowing ourselves to feel those emotions without resisting, reacting or avoiding them will diminish their potency.

We allow our emotions by noticing them, naming them, feeling them inside us and have no judgment. 

The soul would have no rainbows if the eyes had no tears.

Its all part of our human experience and its makes it deep and rich.
